Renee van Reenen 

Renee has lived in Cape Town her whole life, studying at UCT and AFDA before joining Platypus as a director.

She has had the opportunity to work with brands such as Amstel Larger, Castrol, Halls, Spec Savers, Mweb, Cape Union Mart, Wellington’s, Kulula and Castle Lite. Her work has been focused on both commercials and digital content. She is passionate about working with actors and enjoys scripts that are quirky and off-beat.

Renee has won a Loerie for best TV and cinema commercial and received a merit award at The One Show for Prison Broadcast Network.

In her free-time she enjoys running (slowly), the golden age of TV, movies and gaming.
